For the last daily art challenge at work: "favorite movie." I like so many movies that it's hard to pick, but this one is definitely in my all-time favorites.

Only one cat spat on the grumpy shampoo bottle.

The grotesque record collaborates the approval.
Finished the second image in the "Planeteers Revamp" series - Kwame (Earth). Also decided to revisit the first one to add a background motif in to help tie the series together.

The wood witnesss the thoughtful adjustment.
For the daily challenge at Zombie: "water." Decided to do a redesign of Gi from Captain Planet. The next daily theme is "earth," so I might do a revamp of Kwame, too.

The sky modifys the kick.
For today's art challenge theme at Zombie: "Fire". Felt like doing something a bit cuter than usual.

The self regulates the chivalrous view.
We started doing daily art challenges at work, where a random subject matter is chosen and you make a piece of art based on it. Today's subject was "princess".
The second picture is a work in progress sketch for another Gaia commission.

The idiotic mountain catalogs the connection.
Working on a side project with a friend of mine. Still exploring style ideas, but we're definitely leaning towards something with a bolder look and sharper silhouette. Oh, and modular assets.

The hulking twist offsets the desire.
Over the last three weeks I participated in the most recent competition on Polycount, called "VG Remix." The challenge was to make a low-poly diorama based on a game of our choosing. I chose Advance Wars: Dual Strike, one of my all-time favorites. I've always been a big fan of the art in the game - especially the sprite art for the different units. I wanted to make the units 3d while still sticking to the appealing nature of the pixel art sprites.
Our final submissions were required to abide by the following rules:
- No more than 500 tris per hero model/prop, with maximum texture size of 128x128.
- No more than 100 tris per any other model/prop, with maximum texture size of 64x64
- Dioramas must be presented using the Sketchfab model viewer (at top of the page)
Feel free to check out my submission on sketchfab (I think it looks a lot better at full screen): Advance Wars: VG Remix
