Without the ploy leans the unsure faithful.
Last week I participated in Fuck This Jam, a week-long game jam centered around the concept of creating games in genres you dislike. I worked with the very talented Dan Hett, a programmer from Manchester, UK that I met by chance the day the jam started. For my first jam, I think it went incredibly well.
We decided to make a match-three mechanic game with a turn-based battle theme. We didn't get all the features we wanted in, but it was still a lot of fun. It also sounds like Dan is game for continuing to work on this now that the jam is done.
Click on the image above to check out a sample of the assets I created during the week (or click HERE, if that doesn't work).
To play the game, go HERE (though, keep in mind, the game is not finished).

The deadline favors the transient body.
Had to put this down for a while to work on other projects, but I picked it back up again the other night. Still very much in the blockout stage, but progress is progress.

The spontaneous variance crashs into every pardon.
A bit more progress with my pro bender sculpt. Hopefully updates should be more frequent now that I've moved into a new apartment and have access to internet again.
More to come.

A gasp imposes a bizarre wizard outside the noise.
Cafe drawing. Sketching out some hair ideas for the bender sculpt. More updates on that coming soon.

The plate collapses under every opposing cheat.
More progress on the pro bender. I'm getting to a point where I should probably do a quick retopo. The only problem with dynamesh that I've found thus far is that it deletes your lower subdivision levels, and therefore you can't go back down to a lower rez to make adjustments.
You can also see a bit of the process I'm doing here with adding on meshes and using dynamesh to combine them as one. The legs, for example, are being placed and adjusted before I add them in.

The polite coast blinks within a camera.
Some more work on my pro bender sculpt. Blocking out the torso now and using dynamesh to add on parts as I go. More to come.
