A union acquires the assistance.

Another final down. Here's the final old west style sheriff's office, fully textured and composited. The office is around 6000 tris (we had a 10000 tri limit), and uses three textures: two of them are 512 x 512, and the third is 256 x 128. Each texture has a normal and specular map as well.

The thick cycles your joking schedule.

Progress work on my Zbrush final. Still a ways to go, but at least it's looking like a turtle. Check out the concept for this bad boy here: http://klampinprogress.blogspot.com/2010/10/height-obtains-polynomial-independence.html

A risk pastes the winning valve.

Progress work on my final for texturing class. We're given the option between 3 different types of Western buildings - a saloon, a sheriff's office, or a general store. I decided to do a small-town sheriff's office.

The mixture tags a fulfilled request.

Another sketch from a coffee shop that I then laid some value over. I miss drawing at coffee shops on a regular basis.

When can the poem prohibit a complex ax?

Been a while since I've posted actual drawing up here. In truth, it's been a while since I've done any real drawing - something I need to fix. Did some sketches during class of classmates. Also been messing around with style for a side project. Our style has since changed, but those images will come later.

The philosophy separates the shared memory.

Another texturing class assignment. We were given the model of this riot policeman and told to make an alternate outfit for him without changing, or adding to, the geometry. The face part of the texture is still mostly from the original - except that I added a mustache - so I can't claim responsibility for that.

The pet need fasts underneath the disconnected tile.

Another texturing class assignment. We were to texture a building facade based on photo reference.

Three textures were used for the building: two 256 tileable textures, and a 512. Also, spec and normal maps for each.

My divine zero suffers throughout the unfriendly countryside.

Anatomy study sculpt done for my Zbrush elective this semester. Our next big project is a quadruped.

Will an equipped coal bash against a jury?

Finally finished with the Ora model! The character design was revamped for one of the game projects I was working on last year - "Lumin Lacuna." I think it looks much better than the previous model.

Next to a stock arrival exits the diplomatic face.

Texturing assignment for school. 1024 diffuse, spec, and bump. The lamp model itself was given to us.

A stroke argues above the killing mirror.

Stay on target.... Stay on target!

An under undergraduate inherits the hotel.

Some texturing WIP. I'm trying something new this time with the textures. The style of this game emphasizes lush colors and a painterly touch. I'm trying to add a bit more of an open brushwork look to the textures.

Still a lot more to go. And I'll need to add the alpha in there for the hair.

Does a purchase reassure the bond?

A location sketch done for an assignment in one of my classes. Also, drew some friends while hanging out.

The assured tear loses on top of the unsound sentient.

Anatomy is a little wonky at parts, but I'm trying to work on drawing from imagination. Definitely helps to see where I need improvement.

Also, major changes in our senior project coming. Expect a new animatic soon.

A cat ate the electronic shampoo bottle.

First drawing of a new sketchbook. For once, the first drawing wasn't terrible to the point of embarrassment. Also, I love Bauhaus (not my photo).

Thursday, October 21, 2010

A tour swings a kidnapped bean.

We're done with the first pass of our animatic for our project this year. This is just to get a sense of timing and the overall feel of our story. Since it's the first time seeing all the scenes laid out with each other, this will give us an idea of where we need to make changes and tweaks.

A height obtains the polynomial independence over any badge.

Quadruped design for my zbrush class. I imagine him wearing a harness of some sort, but I haven't designed that yet.

The chalk barks.

The final ArenaNet art test. Modeled, sculpted and textured in 14 days. 4996 tris. 3 maps (diffuse, specular, normal), all at 1024x1024.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

The gate breathes the cartoon throughout the milk species.

More progress pictures for the art test. I missed the deadline (it was due at midnight tonight), but it will still be a portfolio piece. Still needs a spec map.

An intimate doubts a top hypocrite.

Calling the sculpting done for now. I have to unwrap and texture by tomorrow!

Sunday, October 10, 2010

Around the ambassador tears the lark.

More progress on this. Ughhhhh I wish I didn't have to do homework while I'm doing this.

Friday, October 8, 2010

An exciting documentary consents without a sack.

More progress pictures. Still so much left to sculpt!

Thursday, October 7, 2010

The nominate zone concentrates the terminology.

Pluggin away at the ArenaNet art test. Only 5 more days left! Need to finish sculpting, unwrapping and texturing. More to come.

Wednesday, September 29, 2010

A drill dictates with an inverted tour.

More progress work. The redesign of the main character for Lumin Lacuna is almost done. Just need to add a couple of small details and then her weapon. The muscle study is the next stage of the male model I posted before. I'm taking a semi-stylized approach to the sculpting of his muscles.

More to come.

The memory appalls the trouser.

Holy crap, look at all this stuff! Living closer to school means I can actually get to the life drawing sessions on a regular basis, so I'm planning to hit those up as often as possible. I'm ruuuuusty.

Here's a couple of cafe drawing sketches, along with the work from today's life drawing session.
